About The Plumbinators
The Plumbinators is a locally owned and operated independent plumbing service company, established in Kelowna, BC.
Corey Carthew founded the company in 2017 after moving to Okanagan from Ontario and working for the local competition.
It didn't take Corey long to see there was a huge issue in the Okanagan Valley when it comes to plumbers.
- There is a shortage of qualified and well-trained journeyman technicians, meaning that most companies send inexperienced apprentices to your home. Most companies have a journeyman to answer tough questions or manage the workflow, but 90% of the jobs in the valley never see a trained professional in your home, opening the door for poor workmanship and improper repairs and service.
- Companies never stock parts in their vehicles. They come to your home, diagnose the issue, run to the parts store, possibly stop for a coffee, come back to your home, sometimes have to go back for other parts, and charge you the whole time! Not only is it not efficient, but you the homeowner end up paying a lot more for a job that could have been done in a fraction of the time!
Corey saw this as being a huge dis-service to the homeowner and not an ethical way to do business.
